How Sponsorships Help Brand Your Business

There are 64,793 farms in Wisconsin according to DATCP Home of Wisconsin Agricultural statistics. To offer a little perspective, there are 5.8 million people and 3.4 million cows.

You may be wondering if you need this information. The answer is yes. That’s 64 thousand households who drive cars, send their kids to school, buy clothes, eat at restaurants, need insurance, have bank accounts, get haircuts, travel, you know, do everything you do. They also happen to live on a farm.

So what, you ask. Well, I’m glad you asked. If you’re a business owner and sell a product or service the average person uses then you have a very captive, very loyal customer base in the Wisconsin Farm Family! Here’s an example. Earlier this year, Pam Jahnke mentioned we had “We Need Farmers” signs and the station was flooded with requests. Our team hand-delivered 8000+ signs all over Southern Wisconsin.

Would you like to tap into that market and talk to them when they are the most engaged? Have you ever heard of Farm Tech Days? The World Dairy Expo? Did you know you could sponsor these events?

Not so interested in the farming crowd? What about veterans, kids, animals, or mental health? You may be thinking your business has no connection to these groups but what we’ve learned is whether you are a B2C or B2B everything is really H2H—human to human.

Sponsorship is a targeted approach to marketing. You can sponsor events, organizations, non-profits, and charities that align with your beliefs and resonate with your audience. An amazing thing happens when you sponsor an event—you tell an entire community you support them, care about what they care about, and are willing to lend a helping hand to further their cause. That is powerful.

Sponsorship increases your authority and competitiveness in your niche and can improve your image, status, and reliability. It also opens the door to new customers by placing your brand in front of a new audience.

Take a look at our friends at Settler’s Bank. They are ardent supporters of the American Family Children’s Hospital Radiothon and helped raise nearly $500,000 in 2020.  Skinner Transfer, Keleny Top Soil, AMS, Educated Mortgage, and Bergstrom Madison all played key roles in the 2020 Veteran’s Radiothon.

Mid-West Family has a long history of working with local organizations, charities, and events to serve the Madison community. We love nothing more than partnering with businesses with the same community spirit.  We really love connecting businesses together for their mutual benefit and the benefit of the people who live and work in Wisconsin. If you’re interested in learning more about sponsorship opportunities, give us a call. We have a list of possibilities, and we’re always open to brainstorming and building something just for you!
